Don Teo's is a family owned restaurant that has been serving the Oak Forest community and Houston area residents since 1990.

The Martinez family has been in the restaurant business for many years. Teo Jr started with Monterrey House Mexican Restaurants 42 years ago. Prior to opening Don Teo's Mexican Restaurant, Teo Jr was an area Supervisor for Monterrey House in the 1980's, which included the location that is now Don Teo's, and brother David was the Manager.

Don Teo's food is made fresh daily and no animal fat is used in the preparation. The restaurant is the recipient of several Blue Ribbon Awards awarded by the late Marvin Zindler to restaurants with clean kitchens. Don Teo's received the Blue Ribbon awards in 2003, 2004 & 2005. In addition Don Teo's also recieved the Golden Fork Award in 1999 from KTMD-TV 48.
